TO MOVE TO LEAVE A TRACE
My body is material, and the material is a reflection of my body – a symbolic extension of my physical presence. 65 kilograms of flour correspond to my body weight, a fragile mass that adapts to my movement, deforms, disperses and condenses again.
My task is movement – constantly describing the world as I move through it. I create disorder in order to order it, complete actions endlessly only to deconstruct them. I reveal how entangled I am in the cycle of daily actions, creating a system that I serve at the same time. The attempts to accomplish the impossible reveal dilettantism and failure. Meaningless gestures become meaningful through their repetition, through the mere existence in the moment of their execution. I create an alternative reality – one that is not fixed but in a constant state of flux.
